Cats Anti-Dental Resorption (ADR) - Cases Study
2022-07-04

Tooth resorption (TR) is a common dental disease in cats, and its exact cause is unknown. According to research, up to 75% of cats may develop tooth resorption at some point in their lives. This condition leads to the deterioration of the affected tooth structure, causing symptoms such as tooth pain, difficulty eating, changes in temperament, and a decreased quality of life.

Dr. Chung-Wei Chen has developed a treatment for feline tooth resorption, also known as "Anti-Dental Resorption (ADR)”, which provides cats with the opportunity to retain their teeth and normal functionality. With this treatment, cats no longer experience pain and can enjoy an improved quality of life. Extraction of teeth is no longer the only option for treating tooth resorption.

Here are some successful case studies of cats who underwent ADR treatment at our hospital and were able to preserve their teeth and enhance their quality of life:
Case A: 6-year-old neutered male white domestic mix cat
Case B: 8-year-old neutered male brown Bengal cat
